Featured Project: Arc’teryx in Chicago, IL

A new partnership between Elder-Jones and Arc’teryx resulted in this beautiful new store in Chicago, IL. Arc’teryx is a high-end outdoor apparel and equipment retailer, based in British Columbia, Canada. This new store is located in a bustling commercial and residential mixed area in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, just a half mile west of Wrigley Field. It features custom made wood paneling, a special trowel-dragged plaster finish, and ground and polished concrete floor overlay. One project challenge the Elder-Jones team overcame was making sure all the millwork panels and reveals aligned while working with a 3” slope over the length of the sales floor. A job well done by project manager Chris Bonello, assistant project manager Jake Murphy, and the team of jobsite superintendents Dean Schrager and Dean Henderson. A second project is underway with Arc’teryx just north of Chicago, slated to open later this summer.
